HPE FlexNetwork 5500 HI Series switches are Gigabit switches delivering outstanding resiliency, security, and multiservice support for the edge layer of data center, large campus, and metro Ethernet network. This specific model has 48x 10/100/1000 ports. Additionally, the model has 4x fixed Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports and 2x 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports as well as two expansion module slots. Maximum configuration is six 10GbE uplinks or 38 GbE ports. With complete IPv4/IPv6 and MPLS/VPLS features, the series provides investment protection with an easy transition from IPv4 to IPv6 networks. Power supplies ordered separately. The switches can also be used in the core layer of SMB networks. With Intelligent Resilient Fabric (IRF) support and available dual power supplies, the HPE 5500 HI Switch Series also deliver the highest levels of resiliency and manageability.
