HPE FlexNetwork 5120 SI Series switches support stacking, static Layer 3 routing, ACLs and IPv6. This model has 8x 10/100/1000 PoE+ ports and 1x GbE SFP ports. Power over Ethernet support is for IEEE 802.3at with a PoE+ power budget of 180 Watts. They are campus switches ideal for medium and large enterprise networks. HPE Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology creates a virtual fabric by managing four switches as one logical device, which increases network resilience, performance and availability while reducing operational complexity. HPE FlexNetwork 5500 HI Series switches are Gigabit switches delivering outstanding resiliency, security, and multiservice support for the edge layer of data center, large campus, and metro Ethernet network. This specific model has 48x 10/100/1000 ports. Additionally, the model has 4x fixed Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports and 2x 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports as well as two expansion module slots. Maximum configuration is six 10GbE uplinks or 38 GbE ports. With complete IPv4/IPv6 and MPLS/VPLS features, the series provides investment protection with an easy transition from IPv4 to IPv6 networks. Power supplies ordered separately. The switches can also be used in the core layer of SMB networks.
